What You’ll Find in Our Highlights Report on Parents and Advertising
To gather these insights we ran an online survey on Mykidstime.com in September 2022 with 330 responses from parents and an in-depth insights panel carried out on our ParentsandBrands private platform, also in August 2022 with 42 panel participants.
What We Asked Parents About Advertising
Here’s a peek at of some of the key questions we asked parents:
What do you think of these types of brand advertisements?
Are there any brand ads for products or services that come to mind that you saw recently that you like and why?
How would you describe your thoughts on influencers and products you see them advertise?
What could brands do better when it comes to using advertising to communicate their products/services to parents?
A Selection of the Feedback from Parents About Advertising
“Don’t disrupt and don’t use the same advert over and over again. Adverts can be enjoyable but can lose that enjoyment with over-saturation.“
“Most brands need to get to know their customer better. I know it is difficult when you are trying to appeal to a wide audience but different cohorts have different needs and should be advertised to accordingly.“
“Anything that an influencer is promoting I run a mile from, I have boycotted some brands due to overuse of influencers promoting them.“
