Revive Active Discover Why and When Parents Give Vitamins and Supplements To Their Children
We ran a tailored insights project for Irish supplements retailer Revive Active to get them feedback from parents to help them better understand their habits when it comes to kids’ vitamin and supplements and get honest insights on parents’ perceptions of their products.
“It was a pleasure to work with the ParentsandBrands/MyKidsTime team, they tailored a campaign and research package to suit our needs. Everyone was extremely helpful and the insights from the research really opened our eyes to how consumers view our products.“
Triona McDonald, Brand Manager, Revive Active
Revive Active wanted to get consumer feedback for their kids’ and teens’ supplements to help with marketing, packaging and planning decisions. In particular to understand how and what influences parents around giving their child/teen vitamins and supplements.
They needed to find out what parents thought, and to drill into their opinions on various aspects of supporting their child’s / teen’s immunity and general wellbeing alongside a healthy diet.
What We Did
We ran a 2 day panel of 20 parents around Ireland with children aged 5 to 18 years. In addition, we ran a month long survey and achieved 900 responses.
We asked them to answer questions, share their opinions and give detailed commentary around vitamins and supplements.
At the end of the project we delivered actionable insights and recommendations along with anonymised verbatim data that Revive Active could use for further analysis.
What Parents Said
“I give them (vitamins and supplements) to maintain that they (my children) are getting the correct amount of vitamins / minerals / iron to keep them healthy, to help brain function & to prevent fatigue.”
“Every day, Revive Active Junior. An outstanding and trust-worthy product. I myself have taken Revive Active for years, and I find them fantastic for myself and my daughter. In terms of giving you that boost you need to get through the day, fighting off infections and maintaining your health, they’re always my go to product.”
“I enjoy taking part in panel discussions – giving honest feedback is important and it’s great to be given the opportunity. The format of questions was easy to follow and good to keep focused! And having the flexibility to reply in my own time was a really big help.”
As with all our insights projects, this tailored group of parents were happy and willing to give feedback and their opinion. As well as insights on why and when parents give vitamins and supplements to their children the project also delivered key learnings about:
- Purchasing habits
- The brand
- Opportunities to connect with target consumers and what key messages will resonate
- Potential things that Revive Active can do to increase connection and sales
- Other ideas to develop to support parents with family wellbeing
